Abdullah Bashraheel
Abdullah Muhammad Saleh Bashraheel (1951- ), a Saudi businessman, legal advisor, writer, and poet, is considered one of the most prominent poets of the Kingdom in the modern era. He is the president of the Sheikh Muhammad Saleh Bashraheel Cultural Forum, which his father founded in Mecca to be - after years of belief in the importance of knowledge and culture. - One of the most famous Saudi cultural forums. In addition to that, Abdullah Bashraheel runs a number of institutions and companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in some countries of the world. He is the founder of the Bashraheel Award for Cultural Creativity, and a prolific poetic and cultural writer, as he wrote about 19 poetry collections and 8 books. Other.
His life
He was born in Mecca in 1951, where he received his early education. He then moved to Cairo to obtain a bachelor’s degree in the Faculty of Law and a master’s in international studies. From Cairo to the Philippines, where he received a doctorate from the University of the East in educational philosophy, he contributed with his father and brothers to Many national and commercial projects.

• He received the Order of the Cedar, Knight's Degree, from His Excellency President Emile Lahoud, President of the State of Lebanon, 2004.
• He was honored in a grand ceremony in Greece attended by a large elite of Arab diplomats, intellectuals, writers and Saudi Ambassador Abdullah Al-Malhouq.
• He was honored at Minya University in 2003 in a ceremony attended by the President of the University, Dr. Abdel Moneim Al-Basyouni, and His Excellency the Governor of Minya, Major General Hassan Hamida. A scientific symposium was also held on his poetry at the same university.
• He was awarded the University Shield for his creative excellence and the Shield of Minya Governorate.
• He was honored at the Alexandria Center for Creativity in a ceremony in which the most important Arab writers and critics wrote about him.
• He received the Alexandria Center for Creativity Cup for the year 2004 - 1425 AH.

President Abdelaziz Bouteflika also presented him with a letter as a study on the poetry of the poet Abdullah Bashrahil, regarding his previous and latest collections of poetry, and the poet considered it an introduction to his collection Wahshat Al-Ruh.
He also received a large number of letters of appreciation from European presidents, Secretary-General of the United Nations Kofi Annan, and some ambassadors of European and American countries, for example, the letter of the American ambassador in response to the collection (Qala'id Al-Shams) by the poet Abdullah Bashrahil, and considered it a model for the dialogue of civilizations.
President Jacques Chirac, former President of France, praised the collection (Qala'id Al-Shams) by the poet Abdullah Bashrahil, and commended it.

• He was honored at the International Poetry Festival in Medellin, Colombia, in 2007. He was the only one among four hundred and eighty international poets who was met by Colombian President Alvaro Uribe Valles after reading the poem (Necklaces of the Sun).
• He was honored at the Arab Pioneers and Creators Festival in Damascus, Syria, in 2008, under the patronage of the Syrian President, in the presence of His Excellency the Syrian Minister of Culture, Dr. Riad Naasan Agha, on behalf of the President, who received the honorary shield and a certificate of appreciation.
• He received the (Golden Science, Literature and Arts) Medal from His Excellency President Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir, President of the Republic of Sudan, on 9/2/2011.
• He was awarded an honorary doctorate in Arabic literature from the University of the Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences in the Republic of Sudan on 10/1/2011.
• He was awarded the Scout Excellence Medal and the Scout Necktie from the Saudi Scout Association in Mecca 2011.
• He received the Golden Medal of Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdullah University in Fez, Morocco, and the University's Shield of Appreciation from His Excellency the University President, Professor Dr. Serghini Fares, for his distinguished contributions in his authentic Arabic poetry and that he is one of the effective Arab figures whose awareness has opened up to the issues of his nation and whose poetry has opened up to questioning the civilizational reality in its challenges and transformations on 12/20/2011.
• In a large honoring ceremony in the hall of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Fez, attended by a number of Arab diplomats, professors and deans of the university's faculties, a group of male and female students from the university, and a number of Moroccan critics, poets, and intellectuals.

• The people of Mecca and the Mecca Cultural and Literary Club honored him in a grand ceremony on 19 Jumada Al-Awwal 1438 AH corresponding to 16 February 2017 at the Friends Farm in Mecca on the occasion of his receiving the State Appreciation Award for his excellence in authentic Arabic poetry. A documentary film about the poet, his works and his achievements was shown during the honoring ceremony program, prepared and directed by the "Map News" media agency.
Participations in international poetry festivals:
• He participated in many poetry evenings at the Sixth International Al-Mutanabbi Poetry Festival in Zurich, Bern, Basel, Geneva and Lucano in Switzerland.
• Participated in several evenings of the World Poetry Festival in Medellin, Colombia in 2007.
• He had the honor of meeting Colombian President Alvaro Uribe Valles after his participation in the festival - and spoke about the importance of joint Arab-Colombian cooperation in many fields, and the President praised the collection (Necklaces of the Sun) directed to American intellectuals - At the end of the meeting, Bashrahil presented him with his collection "Al-Masabih" translated into English and French and his poem "Necklaces of the Sun" translated into Spanish, English and French.
